A little about Cincinnati.

"And this Song of the Vine,
    This greeting of mine,
The winds and the birds shall deliver
To the Queen of the West,
    In her garlands dressed,

On the banks of the Beautiful River."

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Cincinnati Named Next Great Food City!
There is something very special about a weekend morning in Cincinnati's Findlay Market, a historic quarter centered around a mid-1800s hall brimming with fresh-picked produce and the energy of thousands of hungry locals. They come here because they've been coming here their whole lives, in good times and bad, because it's tradition—which, in Cincinnati, is just about a religion; think New Orleans, but a day's drive to the north.

Some fun facts about Cincinnati:

The city was founded in 1788. Cincinnati has a long and varied history.

Cincinnati has several nicknames including "The Queen City," "The Queen of the West," and the possibly less desired "Porkopolis."
The Roebling Bridge, which connects Covington, KY and Cincinnati, was the world's longest suspension bridge when it was built. It was designed by the same person who designed the Brooklyn Bridge, John A. Roebling.

But really, why do we love living here?

There's so many things to see and do, but everything is still reasonable in terms of cost and travel time. There's a little something for everyone."
Cincinnati has something for everyone. I have lived in Cincinnati for a while now and always seem to find new things to do even as my interests and passions have changed over the years. "
It’s been 10 years, and still I consistently discover new little gems of this city. And what’s really cool is that most of the population shares this mindset – it’s a very active, very alive place, with residents that are genuinely happy to be a part of it."
As someone moving from a small town, I loved the "big little city" feel that Cincinnati had when I interviewed here and continue to enjoy this. It has all the amenities that you would expect in a major metropolitan area (e.g., professional sports, concerts, a large craft brew scene, fun stuff to do downtown over the weekends), yet wasn't overwhelmingly crowded for someone who is raising two young kids."
Cincy has a variety of things to do, including outdoor fun, shopping, nightlife, and dining. My favorite spots are Ault Park (great views, occasional events, outdoor grilling/playgrounds, hiking trails), Hyde Park Square (Sunday Farmer's Market, great coffee shop and dining), OTR (about 3 blocks of nightlife, dining, and shopping), Washington Park (downtown area with weekend events, great shopping, dog park, and walking distance to the symphony), Loveland (30min drive but many miles of shady and paved bike trails and running trails along a river, plus dining)."
Excellent parks, great restaurants, and the Cincinnati Ballet and Symphony are both excellent. This is a great city for families. "
I like that I can be anywhere in 20 minutes. The traffic is manageable and there are many options for things to do outside of work."
"It's also highly accessible with two major airports in very close proximity (CVG and DAY) that allow you to go almost anywhere you want on vacation with direct flights all over the United States (and internationally)."
My favorite thing about Cincinnati is how much there is to do, which was honestly not necessarily what I expected when I moved here. There are lots of fun outdoors activities nearby and some amazing places to visit a short drive away. There is a great craft brewing scene, lots of arts organizations (I love the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company), professional sports (Go FC Cincinnati!), and places to eat."
